Asrock P5B Pro Realtek LAN Driver
Ai Gear is your basic overclocking profiler to store and enable different performance profiles in real-time, like switching gears in a car, thus its moniker. The board also features a reduced heat-pipe cooling solution, which only covers the MCH instead of the full chipset and power components.
However, our experience with the board has been positive nevertheless as the chipset never became scalding hot even under stress from benchmarking. Operating stability is also kept in check with an 8-phase power design.
The primary slot functions at full x16 speeds while the secondary slot operates at either PCIe x2 or x4 modes. Competitors typically limit their products to six slots, or restrict the top slot to super-short cards with an over-sized Asrock P5B Pro Realtek LAN sink.
The P45XE even locates its front-panel audio header half-way up its rear edge for easier cable routing to top-panel jacks, and that leaves us with very few things to complain about. It would be a disservice for us not to point out the few inconveniences or otherwise deceptive features.
Anonymous I am pretty sure that the instructions for the CPU cooler said to apply a thin layer to the cooler itself. So, I should just apply a pea sized amount instead?

It's like making a PB sandwich once the bread is shoved together try to figure out which side it was originally spread on first. The underlying idea is so you don't apply too much. The reason I recommend the MX-4 is because it very good and most importantly it's non-conductive or capacitive -- i.

Anonymous Sep 2, I will make sure to do that next time. The TIM I chose is non-conductive but is capacitive. Should I order one that is non-capacitive too? Or is it not that big of a problem?
Thanks for the info. I will be careful.
